Noida authority yet to get Rs 1,400 crore from 74 properties it has leased out.

NOIDA: The Noida Authority is yet to collect dues worth Rs 1,400 crore from 74 properties it has leased out to various government agencies and companies. Officials said these included government offices, petrol pumps, banks, kiosks, gas godowns and showrooms. The dues have been calculated till January 31.

 

It was the Authority’s general administration department that had given out these properties on lease. Those using the buildings and space deposited money in the beginning but stopped paying the rent later, the officials said, adding that notices had been sent to each of them.

 

Officials said petrol pump operators owed the maximum arrears, followed by government offices and banks. Many of these operators have even moved court on issues related to rent.
