PUNE: With over 6,000 complaints pending with the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA), citizens' groups have demanded speedy disposal of cases and appointment of more adjudicating members to hear the pending cases at the earliest.
A representation was made by citizen groups to chief minister Eknath Shinde and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis last week. Ramesh Prabhu, chairman, Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association (MahaSeWA), in his representation, said that the chairman and another member dispose of 2,000 complaints every year on an average.
"With nearly 6,500 complaints pending, the rate of disposal of pending complaints will tale nearly 3 years. With new complanits filed daily, this will increase the pendency further,: he said,
